Welcome to Raisemag. These Terms and Conditions explain the rules for using our website at raisemag.co.uk. By visiting the site, reading our articles or using any of its features, you agree to follow these terms. Please read them properly. If you disagree with any part, the best thing to do is stop using the site.
In these terms, “Raisemag”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean the owner and operator of raisemag.co.uk. “You” means anyone who visits or uses the site.
About Raisemag
Raisemag is an online magazine. We publish articles, news, guides and opinion pieces across seven areas: celebrity, technology, health, education, lifestyle, fashion and law. Our aim is to give readers useful, readable information they can enjoy and learn from.
Everything we publish is for general information and entertainment. It is not tailored to your personal situation, and you should read it with that in mind.
Accepting These Terms
You accept these terms when you access the site. If you use the site on behalf of a company or another organisation, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms for them.
We may also publish extra rules for specific features, such as competitions, newsletters or comment sections. Where we do, those rules form part of these terms.
Who Can Use the Site
You can use Raisemag if you are at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to read these terms with you. Some of our content, particularly in the celebrity, health and law categories, discusses adult topics and is written with adult readers in mind.
You must use the site lawfully and must not use it in any way that breaks the laws of the United Kingdom or the laws of the country where you live.
5. Our Content
Our articles are written by our editorial team and by approved contributors. We try to be accurate, fair and clear. Even so, you should treat each article as a starting point and not as the final word on any subject. Here is how that applies to each category we cover.
Celebrity. We report on public figures, entertainment and popular culture. Some stories involve opinion, commentary or information from public sources. Where something is rumour or unconfirmed, we try to say so.
Technology. Reviews, guides and news reflect the facts and opinions available when we publish. Products, prices, features and software change quickly, so check details with the manufacturer or seller before buying.
Health. Our health content is educational only. See Section 6 below.
Education. We share study tips, career advice and guides on learning. Rules and requirements for schools, exams, courses and funding vary, so confirm them with the relevant institution.
Lifestyle. Our lifestyle pieces cover home, travel, food, relationships and daily life. They reflect the views of the writer and are not a promise of any particular result.
Fashion. Trend features, style guides and product picks are subjective. Sizing, availability and pricing are controlled by retailers, not by us.
Law. Our legal articles explain general principles. See Section 6 below.
Not Professional Advice
This section matters, so please read it carefully.
Nothing on Raisemag is medical, legal, financial, educational or other professional advice. We are a magazine, not a clinic, law firm or advisory service. Reading our content does not create a doctor and patient relationship, a solicitor and client relationship, or any other professional relationship between you and us.
Health. Do not use our articles to diagnose, treat or manage a medical condition. Always speak to a qualified doctor or healthcare professional before making decisions about your health, starting or stopping treatment, or changing your diet or exercise. If you think you have a medical emergency, call 999 or your local emergency number straight away.
Law. Laws change and depend heavily on the facts of each case. Our legal content mainly covers the law of England and Wales and may not apply where you live. If you need legal help, speak to a qualified solicitor or barrister.
Other topics. The same approach applies to anything we publish on education, money or personal wellbeing. Get proper advice from a qualified person before acting.
You use any information from the site at your own risk.
Intellectual Property
Unless we say otherwise, we own or have permission to use everything on Raisemag. That includes the text, articles, graphics, logos, layout, design, images and the Raisemag name. This material is protected by UK and international copyright, trade mark and other intellectual property laws.
Some images, quotes or clips belong to other people and are used with permission, under a licence or as allowed by law. Their rights stay with their owners.
You must not copy, republish, sell, rent, modify or distribute our content, or create anything based on it, without our written permission.
What You May Do With Our Content
You are welcome to read the site, share links to our articles and post short quotes with a clear credit and a link back to the original page. You may print a single copy of an article for your personal, non-commercial use.
You may not:
- Copy full articles onto another site, app, newsletter or social media account.
- Use our content to train, fine-tune or feed AI tools or datasets without our permission.
- Scrape or harvest content or data from the site using automated tools.
- Remove copyright notices or author credits.
If you want to republish or license our work, email us and we will be happy to talk.
Acceptable Use
When you use Raisemag you agree not to:
- Break any law or regulation.
- Post or send anything that is defamatory, abusive, threatening, hateful or discriminatory.
- Harass, impersonate or mislead other people.
- Upload viruses, malware or anything designed to damage or interfere with the site.
- Try to gain unauthorised access to our systems, accounts or data.
- Overload the site or interfere with how it works.
- Use the site to send spam or unwanted promotional messages.
- Use the site for any fraudulent or harmful purpose.
We may block access, remove content or take other steps if we believe you have broken these rules.
Comments and User Submissions
Some parts of the site may let you leave comments, send messages, submit tips or share other material. We call this “user content”.
You remain the owner of your user content. By submitting it, you give us a free, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, store, edit and publish it on Raisemag and in connection with our work, for as long as it stays on the site.
You promise that your user content is your own, does not break anyone else’s rights, and does not break the rules in Section 9. You are responsible for what you post.
We do not check every comment before it appears, and the views in user content are not our views. We may remove or edit any user content at our discretion, including anything we think is unlawful, offensive, misleading or off topic.
Guest Posts and Contributors
If you write for us as a guest or contributor, you must send original work that you have the right to publish. Sending a piece to us does not guarantee it will be published. We may edit for style, length, accuracy and legal reasons, and we may decline or remove a piece at any time.
Unless we agree otherwise in writing, you keep ownership of your work and give us a licence to publish it on Raisemag and promote it. Contributors must disclose any payment, gift or other connection to a brand or person they mention.
Advertising, Affiliate Links and Sponsored Content
Raisemag may earn money through advertising, affiliate links and sponsored content. This helps us keep the site running.
If you click an affiliate link and buy something, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We aim to make it clear when content is sponsored or contains affiliate links, in line with UK advertising rules. Our editorial opinions are our own, and a commercial relationship does not mean we endorse a product beyond what we say in the article.
Any dealings between you and an advertiser or seller are between you and them. We are not responsible for their goods, services, pricing or conduct.
Links to Other Websites
Our articles often link to other websites, videos and social media posts. We include them for convenience and context. We do not control those sites and do not guarantee their accuracy, safety or availability. A link does not mean we approve of the site or agree with its content. Their own terms and privacy policies apply when you visit them, so please read those.
Accuracy and Corrections
We work hard to get things right, but mistakes can happen, and information can go out of date. We do not promise that every article is complete, current or free from error.
If you spot a mistake, tell us at the email address in Section 26 and we will review it. Where we confirm an error, we will correct it as soon as we reasonably can.
Public Figures and Celebrity Coverage
Our celebrity coverage discusses real people. We aim to report fairly and to respect the law on privacy and defamation. If you believe something we have published about you is inaccurate, intrusive or unlawful, please contact us with the page address and a clear explanation of the problem. We will look into it promptly.
Site Availability
We try to keep Raisemag running smoothly, but we cannot promise it will always be available, fast or free from faults. We may suspend, change or withdraw any part of the site for maintenance, updates or other reasons, and we are not liable if we do.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the fullest extent the law allows, we provide Raisemag and its content “as is” and “as available”. We do not give any promise, express or implied, about the site, including that it will meet your needs, be accurate, be secure or be free of viruses or errors.
Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights as a consumer that cannot be excluded by law.
Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded under the law of England and Wales.
Subject to that, and to the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, Raisemag. This includes loss of profit, income, data, business or goodwill, and any indirect or consequential loss, whether it arises in contract, negligence or otherwise. We are also not liable for decisions you make based on our content.
Because the site is free to use, our total liability to you for any claim connected to the site will not exceed £100.
Indemnity
If your actions, your user content or your breach of these terms lead to a claim against us, you agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from it, including reasonable legal fees.
Privacy and Cookies
Your privacy matters to us. How we collect and use personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy, and how we use cookies is explained in our Cookie Policy. Both are available on the site and form part of these terms. By using Raisemag you confirm you have read them.
Copyright Complaints
If you believe something on Raisemag infringes your copyright, please email us with your name and contact details, a description of the work, the exact page address where the material appears, and a statement that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner. We will review the complaint and, where appropriate, remove or correct the material.
Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or end your access to Raisemag at any time, with or without notice, if we think you have broken these terms or misused the site. You can stop using the site whenever you like. Sections that by their nature should continue after termination, such as those on intellectual property, disclaimers, liability and governing law, will remain in effect.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time, for example when we add features or when laws change. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Changes apply from the date they are posted. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the updated terms, so please check back now and then.
General
Entire agreement. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about your use of the site.
Severability. If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest will still apply.
No waiver. If we do not enforce a right straight away, it does not mean we have given it up.
Transfer. You may not transfer your rights under these terms to anyone else. We may transfer ours to a successor or another business.
Third parties. Nobody other than you and us has any right to enforce these terms.
Governing Law
These terms and any dispute connected to them are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, although if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
